A characterful Sant Antoni apartment reshaped around a planted courtyard

In the vibrant Sant Antoni district, behind a historic façade, this distinctive 154 sq m apartment held exceptional potential. Generous volumes, original architectural details, a courtyard and the adjoining former workshop already hinted at the singular home it could become.

We completely reworked the layout to draw natural light deep into the apartment and transform the courtyard into a true urban oasis. A structural opening through a load-bearing wall released new sightlines, while the surviving period features were carefully restored. The creation of a second terrace placed light and greenery firmly at the heart of the project.

The result is a family home poised between memory and modernity. Traces of the past converse with a contemporary architectural language that is precise yet never ostentatious, arranged around a genuine green retreat in the historic heart of Barcelona.
