Opposite Sant Antoni market, original character meets raw, natural materials

Facing the emblematic Sant Antoni market, this dual-aspect apartment enjoyed an exceptional setting: a street-side balcony with direct views of the market and, at the rear, a 30 sq m terrace sheltered from the rhythm of the city. Once a home and later used for storage, it had lost its clarity and lustre while retaining obvious potential.

We completely redesigned the plan to make the most of both orientations. Bedrooms face the market, while the living spaces unfold towards the inner courtyard in one generous volume opening onto the terrace. Kitchen, dining and sitting areas are arranged around a substantial central island.

The intervention brings the apartment’s original character into conversation with a restrained, mineral and Mediterranean palette. Catalan vaults, historic beams and original hydraulic tiles meet parquet, exposed brick and polished microcement in a calm composition of natural and earthy tones.
